Dye's and money? - Guild Wars Forums

What is the point of "Dye's" ?? Surely not just to change the colour of your gear??
If so then why do people pay so much money for them??
How is it poeple can GET so much money.. It sook me nearly 8 lvl's of spending nearly nothing to make 1500 gp!!

I feel like I'm missing some important feature in the game :-P

dyes are just to change the color of your armor.and in higher lvl areas near the end of the game you get alot better drops.

Dyes are "just" to change the color of your gear. People pay so much for them because we get to look different from each other (to a degree). Dyes can be mixed together as well to create more color combinations.

How do they get so much money? Well, later on in the game it becomes easier. Items are your expensive when sold to the merchants, gold drops are higher in value, good potential to sell item drops to other players.

yeah and enemies drop 100gold minimum. once seen 400. can u say fat wallet now.

Just wait you will see. if you dont need the dyes then sell them. They make somewhat of good money

Max armor 30 life eternal shield, 400k
Max damage crystaline sword with 15%>50% 1500k
15k FoW armor 700k
Slaughtering some noob with a crystaline sword, 15k FoW armor, and an eternal shield, Priceless.

There are some things gold can't buy, for everything else, theres PvP chars.

GW isn't a fashion contest.

Id say so. Even is pre-searing you can make much more gold. We farm pre for dyes. in 3 hours time, make 22-2700 gold and 10-20 dyes.
